I'm slightly behind the times...

...and as such, here's some music that is old!  Well, not Carpenters old, but old nonetheless.  Tokyo Police Club have been slowly building a fan base since their debut EP A Lesson in Crime in 2006, and they've recently caught a huge buzz around the virtual water cooler.

The EP Your English is Good shows the great range of Tokyo Police Club.  The vocals on the sparse acoustic version of "Swedes in Stockholm" brought to my mind Alec Ounsworth of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, with just a hint of Nate Ruess of the Format.  That is certainly some awesome company to be in.  Enjoy!
