NEW from Secret Machines

Good news, good news!

The other day I realized that I hadn't checked up on the status of Secret Machines, a band I've fallen deeply in love with over the past few years.  Sadly, my heart was broken - too broken to even blog about it - by the news that founding member and guitarist Ben Curtis had left the band back in March of 2007.  I tried to keep up to date with the boys, but I figured they were done.

Luckily the remaining members have marched on.  Their new album, simply titled Secret Machines, will be out on October 14th.  Myspace has a few tracks streaming right now - the first single Atomic Heels and a non-album track called Dreaming of Dreaming. I wasn't too sure after the first listen...it's not quite the same as their last two albums, but it's close. 

The keys are higher in the mix this time around and Atomic Heels simply doesn't reach the level that Alone, Jealous and Stoned did.  Dreaming of Dreaming is epic though, very much so.  Anywho, take a listen and decide for yourselves:
