Mommyheads?!?!

I'd more or less given up on the Mommyheads after hearing the tragic news regarding the death of their drummer, Jan Kotic, back in 2007.  Needless to say, I was utterly shocked to find that the remaining members  had actually recorded a brand-spankin' new album during 2008 right under my nose.  Well, shit.

I can't really say that I enjoy the Mommyheads more than I enjoy Adam's solo work, but the new album seems to bring the funk that I oh-so-love.  In case you missed the train, the Mommyheads were pretty much the best indie-rock band out of the 90's that no one ever gave a damn about.  And they're funk-a-liscious.  So go do some name-dropping to your Pitchfork friends and dance the freak-folk dance to this funk-a-delic tune.
